This single celebrates 30 years of making and playing live music. It all started when their group "Four-May-Shun" played one of its first gigs at Tillingham Village Hall in 1975, Peter May then wrote the first song, Tillingham Disco - which they recorded for the making of their first 12" vinyl album in 1980.
They've kinda gone full circle with their latest recording "Tillingham Phone Box Blues", their first single in 18 years.
So here it is, their very first recording from 25 years ago to their very latest in 2005.
The bonus track "Cruising Down The Dengie" is about the road that leads to Tillingham.
So, early 70's, a pub in Bradwell, a group named T. Bone Steak and off they went.

|
|
Doll Set Tones were born out of the little English riverside town of Maldon in Essex. Lee Probert, lead singer and rhythm guitarist, was touting his acoustic songs round the local area when he met Kes Shearer, who became the band's first manager, back in March 2005.
Kes immediately saw the potential of the music and, together, the two quickly assembled the rest of the line up of motley rogues: James Bacon on drums, Ross Fifield on bass and Keith Jackson on lead guitar.

STARBABE THE OPERA - With a little bit of talking:
Written in 2007 this is Greaveseys first feature length opera - with a little bit of talking. This is a comical double CD following the miss fortunes of a dull anorak wearing man called Raymond who lives in a caravan in St Lawrence Bay with his Grandmother up until she accidentally blows herself up leading Raymond to an encounter with Aliens who give him a custom made girlfriend called Shirley. Confused? This is only the beginning.
He goes on to get himself into a confrontation with the resident bad guy 'Nasty Clifford' who recruits his future father-in-law and local mobster Mad Barry and his boys.
Raymond's real love interest is in Amanda who he grew up with but will he win her love, stay with the lovely but increasingly possessive Shirley or wind up wearing a concrete overcoat? Listen and find out.
All music and most male vocals and characters are played by Jon Greaves. Other artists featured on this double album are:
